What people use it for

One local engine, covering the everyday cleanup jobs.

Bystander removal

Tourists who wandered into the shot and cluttered figures in the background, repainted from their surroundings.

Visual logo erasure

Channel bugs, institutional marks, stickers and corner badges — removed without a visible seam.

Product photo cleanup

Promo badges, price stickers and collage borders on listing images, with the product and backdrop untouched.

Seamless repaint

Semi-transparent overlays, grid patterns and timestamps pressed onto the frame, rebuilt along the texture.

Two reconstruction engines

Pick by how busy the background is: speed for flat areas, a deep model for real texture.

Standard

Pyramid diffusion inpainting for small marks on flat or gently graded backgrounds. Returns in about half a second.

AI mode

LaMa deep-learning reconstruction for complex texture and structure. Downloads the model once, then the browser caches it.

Why local

Your images never touch a server — nothing uploaded, nothing retained, no third party can see your material. It also means speed depends only on your own device.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Everything, including AI inpainting, runs locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device and we keep no copies.

Is AETHERIC AI free?

Image processing is free during launch and works without an account. Signing in only saves your preferences and gives you priority for feature betas.

Which formats are supported?

Images: PNG, JPEG, WebP up to 50 MB. Video: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, exported as H.264 MP4 with the original audio kept intact.

Standard or AI mode?

Use Standard when the background is a flat colour or gentle gradient — it is much faster. Use AI mode when there is real texture, structure or lines to rebuild.

Does this work on video?

Video currently offers region masking: mark where the watermark sits and when it appears, then export frame-by-frame with lossless audio — all locally, nothing uploaded. A separate AI seamless-repaint mode for video is in development; unlike the local tools it would run on our GPUs, meaning your file would be uploaded. It is not available yet, and we will say so clearly at the point of use when it is.
